Hot Key Books, an imprint of Bonnier Books UK, is thrilled to announce the acquisition of A Match Made in Hell, a spicy fantasy romantic comedy where a woman makes a deal with the devil – only to fall for him instead, by exciting debut Charlotte Ingham.
Ella Whiddett, commissioning editor at Hot Key Books, acquired UK and Commonwealth English-language rights to two books from Maddalena Cavaciuti at David Higham Associates. US rights are currently under offer, and Hungarian rights have already been sold to Manó Könyvek, Brazilian rights to Record and Italian rights to Mondadori.
Full of heat, heart and humour, A Match Made in Hell follows Willow White, who was supposed to be turning into a responsible adult, not proving her mother right when she called her a failure. Now, thanks to one tiny (if fatal) mishap, she’s died and found herself in a dimension that looks suspiciously like hell.
Determined to redeem herself, Willow makes a deal with hell’s ruler, King Sathanas: complete seven tasks, resist the seven sins, and he’ll let her return to her human existence. But when Sath is temptation itself, sin may be hard to resist.
